I have picked these works out by Barbara Kruger as both type and image driven works and I think they are very effective at communicating their message. With very simple wording and often quite shocking imagery and concepts these are used for Adbusters and such. Designs with a strong morale message and purpose. However I think it is in the strength of the imagery and wording selected that these work. they are to be seen by as many people as possible in a way that would change their opinion on something, so placed in the environment or in a magazine as a standout piece.
